The youth teams battled it out but the Spanish side failed to muster up enough in attack as the Indians cruised to an easy win on the road to the AFC Championship to be held later on this year.

The Indian U-16 football team is on a long overseas tour in order to gain vital exposure before the big tournament this year and have been sensational in recent matches, easily putting away the opposition under the tutelage of Coach Bibiano Fernandes.
The heart of the matter
The U-16 boys were dominant from the start in this one and gradually grew in confidence as well, showing off their skills in the process. The team has already won the Jockey Club International Youth Invitational Football Tournament 2018 and are flying on the back of huge wins recently.
In this game too they were impressive and showed their class with two goals coming from Rohit Danu and one goal coming thanks to Vikram Partap Singh.
What’s next?
The youngsters will continue their preparation for the AFC Championships with matches against more high profile teams but on the back of such exciting wins, it looks increasingly obvious that other teams wouldn’t like to play this talented Indian outfit.

It is quite remarkable how these young guns have grown in stature in such a short period of time. Exciting times may be on the horizon for football in the country if this good run continues.
